The home and management arm for industry giants: MGS Manufacturing, Hall Industries and Northampton Machinery. Under The MGS Group guidance we have combined complimentary machinery businesses focusing on the wire, cable, fiber optic, hose, tube and related industries. Attention to detail has insured our product design reflects quality, durability and fit for purpose in the engineered machinery marketplace. Service, support and customer communications has reinforced customer satisfaction.

MGS Manufacturing, Inc. Rome, NY

In 1957 Maurice G. Steele started a small company known as MG Steele in Rome NY making Brazing Units, Air Wipes, and Swage Tools for the wire and cable industry. In 1969 the business was purchased from Maurice G Steele. MGS Manufacturing, Inc was formed from this business to address increasing demands for machinery in the growing wire and cable market. Through the years a full range of machinery was developed by engineering resources within the company. The success of these products pushed growth and expansions of the facilities housing MGS Manufacturing to where we sit today in a 70,000 sq ft purpose built facility in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome, NY.

Hall Industries, N. Branford, CT

HALL Industries, acquired by The MGS Group in 1994, was formed in 1972 by Marcus Hall to supply product-handling equipment to the wire and cable industry. The HALL product line includes a full range of product handling systems to the wire, cable, fiber optic and telecommunications industries including fully automatic packaging systems and robotics. Innovative new products are progressively being designed and introduced to the market at the company’s R&D facility in our Hall Industries, Branford, CT location.

Northampton Machinery, Northampton, UK

Northampton Machinery, founded in 1902, has supplied high-speed wire and cable stranding equipment, throughout the world, since the 1950’s. Acquired by The MGS Group in 2003, Northampton continues to supply a complete range of machinery to the data and communications, automotive, house wiring and power cable sectors, from fine wire bunching and cable twinning through large rigid and planetary armoring stranders. As part of joining The MGS Group, a new Sales And Service Center was opened in Northampton to complement the brand new 70,000 sq. ft. facility of MGS Manufacturing in Rome, NY USA.
